Luxor :

The word Luxor is  Arabic name means ” palaces”, the name of the city in ” Greek- Roman’s ” period was “Thebes ” and the name in ancient Egypt was ” “Wast”. 

The city in the new kingdom was the capital of Egypt and the center of the religion of the god Amon.

The population numbers of the city about one million, The economy of Luxor depends on tourism and agriculture.

The River Nile divide Luxor to West and east banks, bridge of Luxor connect west and east bank of the city also you can across the river by ferry boat to go to the other side of the city.
